Submit Your Renovations

Rusty - October 9, 2007

If you’ve renovated your home we’d love to see it. If only your bathroom has been done, we still wanna peek. If your kitchen, garage or basement is new, send us those pics!

A couple notes:

1) If you are uncomfortable having your name or location listed, don’t sweat it, you can do initials or flat-out lie.

2) If you feel intimidated by the renovations posted so far on this site, don’t be. They were done by a bunch of yuppie designers (yuppie designer friends of mine) who apparently all got a discount on white Ikea melamine kitchen cabinets.

3) Further explanation of how/what to submit can be found on the submission page and submit them to renovationvoyeur@gmail.com.

If you have any further questions or suggestions please comment below or email me at the above address.

  1. I love the site. I only wish I had a bathroom to renovate! (I rent - horror of horrors, but at least I don’t have to fix anything.) Looking forward to new submissions. :)

  2. When will there be new renovations to view? I am not renovating anything myself (sadly) but would love to see some new material. . . .

  6. There is a useful design software available free from Google called Sketch Up, which can be handy for anyone planning a renovation. It is essentially a CAD software that is fairly user friendly (takes a little practice but they offer a tutorial). It allows you to draw rooms, furniture, etc. in 3D and to spec. You input the dimensions. It’s great for helping you visualize the finished project. There is also a database of completed images (such as furniture, bath fixtures, lamps, including brand name stuff) that can be easily downloaded and placed in your design.
